Statement

By using typographic elements such as abbreviations, special characters or symbols to evoke illogical associations and arouse suspicion in the viewer, I aim to oscillate between rhetorical questions and personal assertions about cultural appropriation, identity and history.

In my work I use traditional sculptural materials and techniques such as stone, wood and ceramics due to their historical nature, which I combine with modern elements such as book covers, railway number plates, box symbols or even printed type, while maintaining a concise character.

What defines my work in physical terms is the precision, reduction and solid forms inspired by minimal art, but I pursue my interest in making a specific narrative and deciphering layers of meaning and also making the process and dialogues with the material visible.
